Established in 2000, Axium Healthcare Pharmacy Inc. is a nationwide, privately held clinical specialty pharmacy licensed to operate in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. How do I order a prescription from Axium?

Axium makes it easy for you and your physician to order prescriptions by phone, fax, mail or electronically. For initial prescription requests:

  • Ask your physician to FAX the prescription to 888.315.3270

  • MAIL the prescription to: P.O. Box 954149, Lake Mary, FL 32795
  • Ask your physician to send an ELECTRONIC request through Axium’s OnePlace treatment management portal

Is it easy for me to order refills?

Ordering your refills has never been easier. With Axium, your Patient Care Coordinator will guide you through the prescription treatment process from start to finish. Each month, your Patient Care Coordinator will personally call you to remind you that your prescription is up for refill (about 7-10 days before your refill is due), allowing you to plan ahead to select the best time and place for your delivery. Your Patient Care Coordinator will also discuss your treatment with you, review your care guidelines, and make sure you have all of the medicine you need.

If you prefer to manage your refills online, Axium’s OnePlace treatment management portal lets you do just that. Through OnePlace, you can easily register, log-in and go to refill your prescriptions, track medication deliveries and set refill reminders.

Can I have my specialty prescription transferred from my local pharmacy to Axium?

Absolutely! All you need to do is contact Axium and we’ll handle the rest.

How do I know if my insurance will cover prescriptions and services from Axium?

Once your physician sends a copy of your prescription and insurance information to Axium, our team of verification specialists will contact your insurance provider to verify benefits and copay information associated with your prescribed treatment.

What if I am uninsured or underinsured and have trouble paying for my medication?

Axium will go above and beyond to help. We work tirelessly with a number of copay assistance programs designed to help make treatment accessible to patients who otherwise may not be able to afford it. Will my medication cost more if I use Axium instead of my local pharmacy?

No. In fact in many instances, Axium is actually less expensive than a traditional local pharmacy. You do not have to travel anywhere to receive your medication or stand in line for your prescription. What if I need to talk to a pharmacist about my medication or side effects?

What if my physician needs to give me an injectable drug at the office?

It’s no problem. Axium can deliver the medication wherever it is most convenient for you, whether that be the physician’s office, your home or any other location you choose.

How fast can I receive my medication(s)?

Normally, medications will be shipped via an overnight carrier. Any supplies you may need to accompany your medication—such as syringes, needles and alcohol swabs—will be included with the delivery. Additionally, Axium will always arrange and confirm delivery details with you in advance.

If my medication needs to refrigerated, can it still be shipped to me?

Yes. Axium will ship medications requiring refrigeration and other special handling by using insulated packages set according to manufacturer guidelines.

What additional services does Axium offer to patients like me?

Axium not only delivers your injectable and oral medication(s) directly to you, but also provides you with a complete benefit investigation, financial assistance if eligible, hassle-free ordering, refilling and delivery of your medications, as well as ongoing clinical support, training and education. How much medication will I receive?

Your treatment needs might change as you progress through your therapy. We typically deliver your medication in a 30-day supply to better manage and monitor your care and to ensure that you always have the right drug at the right dosage.

What if my medication delivery is late or missing?

Does Axium accept returns?

To comply with Federal and state laws and to ensure the integrity of all medications we dispense, all Axium sales are considered final.

How important is it to stay on my specialty medication?

Specialty medications are developed to treat chronic, complex conditions. As with any prescription medication, it is vitally important that you take your medicine exactly as your physician directs you to—consistently and in its proper dose—to safely and effectively treat your condition even if you experience side effects.
